• Ability to obtain interim clearance required.
- Perform non‑destructive testing (NDT) to support production, design development and failure analysis, including radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and penetrant methods.
- Inspect castings, electronics, welds, braze joints, composites, micro‑circuits and computer card assemblies.
- Develop and validate new inspection techniques and qualified methods.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create test plans, determine sequencing, and validate inspection setups.
- Manage a portfolio of tasks within schedule and budget constraints.
- Analyze and interpret test results, communicate findings to engineering customers, and document in engineering reports.
- Conduct onsite inspections and travel up to 50% of the time for off‑site evaluations.
- Work second shift as required.
- University degree (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- NAS 410 Level2 certification in multiple methods (ultrasonic, radiography, magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant).
- Experience with digital radiography, film radiography, ultrasonic testing (contact/immersion/CSAM), and other NDT techniques.
- Background in aerospace NDT of composites, castings, welds, micro‑circuits and computer card assemblies.
- Knowledge of ASTM E1742, ASTM E2698, AMS‑2175, ASTM E1444, ASTM E1417 and other relevant specifications.
- Familiarity with failure‑analysis equipment: digital microscope, optical microscope, laser milling, die‑shear/bond‑pull machine, plasma etcher.
- ESD protection knowledge and strong documentation/technical writing skills.
- Ability to work under stress, communicate under duress in a non‑confrontational manner, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills at all levels and competitive analytical thinking.
Up to 50% domestic and international travel; 2nd‑shift work may be required.
