Position Summary

Manufacturing Planner II – Onsite. U.S. Citizen required with an active Secret DoD clearance. This role is based in Tucson, Arizona and focuses on the acquisition and manufacturing of test equipment for the Engineering Rapid Build Services (ERBS) department.

Responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment including cables, chassis, and electro‑mechanical fixtures.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews.
  • Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records.
  • Acquire, track, and manage materials from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets.
  • Assist in resolving manufacturing issues and oversee delivery of final products to internal and external customers.
  • Generate and monitor the progression of multiple requisitions through the procurement cycle, facilitate resolution of procurement issues, and ensure items are delivered on schedule.
  • Utilize the Engineering Manufacturing Management System (EMMS) to generate work orders, build/maintain IBOMS, generate material requisitions, and provide status updates to customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience interpreting drawings related to electrical instrumentation, assemblies, cables, chassis, and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment.
  • Experience with material procurement.
  • Previous experience with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware.
  • Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings.
  • Direct customer interface experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with the design, use, and fabrication of electrical instrumentation.
  • Experience dealing with supply chain and material obsolescence issues.
