Position:
Senior Sensor Engineer – Effector RF Design
Location:
Tucson, AZ (1151 E Hermans Rd, BLDG M02)
Job Type: Onsite; U.S. citizen only; requires active DoD Secret clearance.
What You Will Do- Drive and execute the development and design of specialized sensor antenna hardware, technical data packages, and detailed performance requirements.
- Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams—including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems—to ensure design compliance.
- Create and ensure proper review of all documentation for the sensor antenna systems, including analyses, schematics, interface drawings, test plans, and specifications.
- Work with RF sensor antenna manufacturing suppliers as subject‑matter expert and responsible engineer.
- A Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- Experience in antenna design, including concept trades/studies, preliminary and final design, and qualification processes.
- Experience with simulation and modeling using HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, PMM, and/or GRASP.
- Experience with a broad range of RF sensor antenna measurements and data evaluation.
- Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience designing antenna systems for seeker, datalink, flight termination, GPS, and telemetry applications.
- Experience testing and verifying conformal antenna performance.
- Proficiency in analyzing antenna gain data collections and processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting to engineering boards.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and other scientific programming languages.
- Familiarity with HPC environments and schedulers such as SLURM.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Competitive salary: $86,800 – $165,200 annually.
