Job Overview
Raytheon is seeking a mechanical engineer to support design and integration of test environments in Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HWIL) facility. The role requires design experience using AutoCAD or Creo, knowledge of test equipment, and a valid DoD Secret security clearance.
What You Will Do- Work with various trades and designs for developmental programs within the HWIL organization.
- Perform system design and integration activities within HWIL facilities.
- System level knowledge of developmental programs within HWIL.
- Advanced signal generation and presentation across IF and RF test environments.
- Experience working across multi‑disciplined group of engineers.
- Bachelor’s in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Creo Parametric.
- Active US government‑issued Secret security clearance (not interim) required prior to start date.
- US citizenship required.
- Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, and written/oral communication.
- Existing SSBI clearance.
- Mechanical design or data analysis experience.
- Troubleshooting systems with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
- Positive attitude and motivation.
- Experience with equipment rack assembly, cable installation, electronics maintenance.
- Familiarity with RS‑232, RS‑485, Ethernet, CAN, 1553 interfaces.
- Knowledge of Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, MATLAB for data analysis.
