Raytheon - RF Design Engineer II

RF Design Intern – Tucson, AZ (Onsite). The role requires a U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance. The successful candidate will work with the Effector RF Design Department to design, simulate, develop and test RF transmitters, receivers, and exciters for tactical missile and datalink systems.

• Design, optimize, and characterize RF circuits (receivers, exciters) and components (filters, couplers, limiters).
• Simulate RF and microwave hardware using tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, and MATLAB.
• Perform component characterization and module verification in a lab environment.
• Design circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and capture schematics for RF or mixed‑signal hardware.
• Provide engineering support through project design reviews, peer reviews, briefings to internal leadership, and briefings to external customers.

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major.
• Coursework: electronics, electromagnetics, analog, or RF design.
• Experience with RF electronic design tools:
  Mentor Xpedition, XPS, MATLAB, CST, HFSS, ADS.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a team.
• ABET accreditation preferred; cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher desired.
