Position Summary
Production Hardware Team Lead – Missile Production Program, Tucson, AZ (RTX, Raytheon)
Responsibilities- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to up to 8 engineers.
- Lead engineering task execution with technical rigor, mentorship, and training.
- Coordinate across IPTL and cross‑functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering) to resolve production, testing, and integration issues.
- Develop production engineering processes, troubleshoot missile hardware, and deliver manufacturing techniques/processes.
- Lead systematic problem solving, root cause analysis, corrective action (RCCA), and implement engineering change processes.
- Prepare detailed technical team reports, cost estimation, tracking, and proposal support.
- Collaborate on subsystems integration and test, statistical process control, and production yield improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in RF, analog, digital, mixed‑signal circuit design/analysis, or digital signal processing.
- Experience with production engineering: design, analysis, fabrication, troubleshooting missile hardware, and developing manufacturing techniques/processes.
- Proficiency with lab test equipment and post‑processing software.
- Leadership experience of multidisciplinary teams through investigations and systematic problem solving.
- Strong written, verbal communication, organizational, emotional intelligence, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently as a self‑starter.
- MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Production process knowledge, manufacturing techniques, system integration, and production testing.
- Experience with software/firmware languages:
Python, C, Basis, Java, VHDL, Verilog. - Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and production yield improvement experience.
- Technical writing, formal presentations, and engineering change processes.
- Systems thinking and alignment with the Office of the Chief Engineer.
Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. Eligible for annual incentive compensation programs.
Shift: 1st shift.
Work schedule:
9/80 schedule, every other Friday off.
Travel Requirements: up to 25% annually.
