Role Overview
Electrical Engineer – Land and Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems (LSEGS) Department, located in Tucson, AZ. This onsite, 3rd‑shift position (Monday–Friday 11pm‑8am) focuses on electrical engineering skills and the development of electric products for land and naval platforms. The role requires a U.S. citizen with an active, transferable Secret DoD security clearance and proficiency in digital, analog, RF, or mixed‑signal circuit design and testing.
Responsibilities- Enhance electrical engineering skills by designing, testing, and debugging complex circuit card assemblies, electro‑mechanical systems, and RF hardware.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering groups to document concurrence and resolve issues arising during production, testing, and integration.
- Contribute to program execution, including cost, schedule, and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support sustainment activities for land and naval‑based electrical products.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in STEM with at least 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree).
- Hands‑on experience with RF, analog, digital, or mixed‑signal circuit design and/or analysis, and digital signal processing.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment such as waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, HFSS, ADS, or comparable design and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of missile communication transceivers, inertial measurement units (IMU), GPS receiver subsystems, and subsystems integration/testing.
- Ability to perform electrical engineering design of components, sensor and subsystem assemblies, test automation scripting, and engineering change documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause corrective action skills; familiarity with statistical process control and production yield improvement.
- Self‑starter capable of working independently or with a small technical team; willingness to travel up to 10% annually.
