Citizenship & Clearance Requirements: U.S. citizenship required. Active, transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Clearance: Secret) required prior to start. Ability to obtain interim clearance required.
Responsibilities- Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry. Mainly non-isolated and isolated switch mode power converters and linear converters. Focus on board‑mounted power end‑use applications.
- Guide circuit card development through design phases from requirements definition to initial integration testing.
- Test and validate circuit card designs by developing test procedures, performing data capture, and analyzing results to confirm adherence to project requirements.
- Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities and assist with layer stackup definition.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
- Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with non-isolated converter topologies such as buck, boost, or buck‑boost.
- Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with analog electronics design (FETs/BJTs, op‑amps, high/low/band‑pass filters, clock/data termination, comparators).
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Self‑starter, quick learner, able to function in a dynamic environment, good time‑management skills.
- Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.
- Experience with any of the following:
- Wide‑bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) in power electronics designs.
- Simulators such as SIMPLIS or SABER, Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, Hyperlynx.
- Acting as liaison between program and functional management in a cross‑matrixed organization.
- Military specifications.
- Design considerations for voltages >400 V and/or power >10 kW; three‑phase power systems, power factor control, inverter/rectifier development.
- Program management tools such as Earned Value.
- Proposal development.
Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.
