Effector RF Design Department is seeking current college students for an RF Design position to contribute to detailed design, simulation, product development, and initial product testing of RF and microwave hardware for radar and datalink applications on tactical missile programs. The successful candidate will have educational experience and professional interest in designing RF and microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters, with responsibilities spanning preliminary design to integration and testing under challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments.
Location:
Tucson, AZ – On‑site role.
- Support the design and development of transmitters, receivers, and exciters.
- Design and optimize RF circuits, whether chains of components or individual parts such as filters, limiters, and couplers.
- Work in a lab to characterize components, verify modules, and integrate sensitive RF hardware.
- Help design circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals.
- Perform schematic capture and detailed design.
- Provide engineering support through participation in project design reviews, peer reviews, briefings to internal leadership, and external customers for all phases of development.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM major.
- Education coursework in electronics, electromagnetics, analog, or RF design.
- ABET accredited program (preferred) and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Strong background and practical understanding of RF electronics design considerations.
- Experience with Mentor Xpedition, System Vision, MATLAB, Math Cad, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, or ADS.
Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret) is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required.
What We OfferSalary range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD (depending on experience).
