What You Will Do- Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works Interpreting to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality (Q-Notes) applications production Parts.
- Perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews, Participate in design reviews, program reviews, process change reviews, supplier reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation to mitigate escape risk.
- Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including:
Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies. - Facilitate closed loop process controls and continuous improvement methods to improve product/process quality, Perform Supplier factory process walks and factory risk assessments
- Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
- Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
- Review Internal TDP change requests, Supplier change requests, and Supplier Statements of Work and contribute in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier quality performance
- Ability to travel as required by program needs. Can anticipate domestic travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.
- Managing complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, energetic, etc)
- Expand APQP knowledge and experience
- Engagement with critical external stakeholders i.e. DCMA.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 8 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools - SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP
- Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with one or more of the following standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
- Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.

- Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
- Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers.
- Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
- Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and collaborating remotely.
