Position: Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Site Coordinator - 20 hours/week

About the Role

Part‑time (20 hours per week) onsite position. The Senior Principal Engineer will serve as the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Site Coordinator.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain ESD control program documentation based on ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • Create directive instructions for operators and engineers working with ESD‑sensitive devices.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, engineering and vendor teams to resolve ESD issues.
  • Advise factory management on disposition of suspect hardware.
  • Provide ESD safeguarding advice to suppliers and vendors.
  • Test and qualify ESD materials for use in ESD Protected Areas.
  • Perform ESD audits in production areas and engineering labs.
  • Participate in ESD committees and teams across RTX.
  • Develop training for personnel in areas handling hardware with ESD‑sensitive items.
  • Collaborate with other ESD SMEs across Raytheon and RTX.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with manufacture of hardware containing ESD items.
  • Experience using ESD equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ESD Association Program Manager certification or other industry certification (e.g., Certified TR53 Technician).
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • Project and program management experience.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Team collaboration ability and capacity to learn new processes quickly.
