Raytheon’s Air Launched Effector Guidance Systems (ALEGS) Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. The ALEGS Department is currently hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer – Production Hardware position in Tucson, AZ to drive program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of airborne electrical products.

- Enhance electrical engineering skills working with digital, analog and/or RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
- Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually
- Shift Information: 2nd Shift (3pm - 12am)
- Knowledge of various electrical components, Circuit Card Assemblies, RF, analog, digital and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis
- RTX Core Certification and Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
- Experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and/or digital signal processing
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers
- Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations
- Electrical engineering design experience of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support
- Experience with tools:
Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, HFSS, ADS, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer - Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, IMU and GPS receiver subsystems
- Experience with subsystems integration and test, post-test flight analysis, problem investigation, SPC methods for production yield improvements, technical writing and presenting, and Engineering Change Notices
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and with a small technical team, providing technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, and proposal support
