We are currently hiring a Test Architect Engineer responsible for the test strategy and architecture on the Standard Missile (SM)-3 program focused on increasing production capacity and efficiency. This leader will develop, maintain, and ensure the test strategy is optimized to meet program end‑goal objectives. The role requires critical interaction and event planning with the Chief Engineers, software team, and system integration and test team with a focus on test processes, embedded test, factory operations, and other functions.
The person fulfilling this role will also be mentoring junior Test Architects across the SM‑3 Programs. Join this team to perform technically challenging assignments which will directly contribute to protecting our nation and our warfighters.
Responsibilities- Driving test strategy covering critical aspects of the SM‑3 program production efforts while defining and enabling metrics to gauge progress.
- Facilitating the transition between Engineering Development and Production Test Program Phases to optimize production assembly and test solutions.
- Defining or optimizing test environments and requirements to ensure on‑time deliveries and maximize productivity.
- Maintaining traceability between factory testing and system specification.
- Understanding and tracking test coverage, supporting factory flow analysis and test resource needs.
- Interfacing and coordinating with internal and external organizations on test strategy, coordination, execution, and reporting activities.
- Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Directorate Leads, Chief Engineers, and Technical SMEs.
- Coordinating with other program IPTs/CPTs to draw on subject matter experts to address emergent issues across systems, software, and hardware domains.
- Representing the interests of the Systems Engineering and Test Conduct (SE&TC) directorate on the program.
- Interfacing with the customer community on a regular basis to share test status, issues, and address programmatic concerns.
- Having a good knowledge base for Model Based Systems Engineering and how to use this in Integration and Test for the test strategy.
- Mentoring junior Test Architects in the performance of their duties.
- This position may require domestic and international travel.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of Ten (10) years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience in Integration and Testing.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience working with customers to develop program integration and test strategies.
- Graduate or able to enroll in the Raytheon Test Architect Development Program.
- Platform Integration and Test work with surface ships and/or land‑based missile systems.
- Production line testing experience.
- Statistical analysis experience toward optimization of testing.

Salary range: $132,400 USD - $251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
