Responsibilities- Maintain, adjust, isolate, remove, and replace faulty hardware on Operational Flight Trainers (WSTs) and Avionics Desktop Trainers (AVDTTs) supporting the Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) training program.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on host computers, image generators, visual displays, I/O, electric/hydraulic control and motion systems, computer networks, and associated electronics.
- Report and document all hardware system actions related to equipment malfunctions, modifications, removal, installation, fault isolation, and repair.
- Perform operational checkouts and preventive maintenance using work instructions and technical manuals.
- Complete On‑the‑Job (OJT) training requirements/program as directed by the CLS Maintenance Manager.
- Complete maintenance data collection records on equipment associated with trainer and support equipment.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the management team, including bench stock, tools (CTK), test equipment, and Air Force Technical Order (AFTO) 781 forms.
- Support modifications to trainers as directed by management and comply with all site safety and security policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain positive and courteous relationships with all military and civilian personnel related to this program.
- Field engineer on other related training systems.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong background in PC‑based computer repair.
- Support sub‑contractors with technical knowledge of system operation and design during modification and testing.
- Write, review, and update Contractor Operating Instructions (COIs) and Work Instructions (WIs) related to the maintenance section.
- Strong working knowledge of Maintenance Data Collection (MDC) database.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Use simple software commands to support fault isolation.
- Understand, speak, read, and write English.
- Able to lift over 25 LBS.
- Able to work at heights above 10 feet.
- Obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Obtain and maintain Security+ certification.
- Strong computer skills/knowledge.
- IT networking experience.
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
Additional InformationAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time; the work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules, including standard 40‑hour five‑day weeks and condensed schedules for added flexibility.
Schedule for this Position:
Non‑standard 40‑hour work week as assigned by the leader.
