The Land Air Defense Systems (LADS) department at Raytheon (RTX) seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the design and development of world‑class air and missile defense systems. The role requires deep technical expertise and engineering leadership to guide system analysis, requirements, hardware and software design, integration, test, and performance evaluation. The Chief Engineer will interface directly with U.S. Government customers and provide mentorship to engineers.

• Generate and deploy the Design Development Execution Plan across Coyote CUAS development efforts.
• Develop and maintain the Technical Baseline and technical execution strategy.
• Plan, organize, and administer technical reviews; manage day‑to‑day engineering execution; adjudicate technical decisions; control the technical baseline.
• Partner with the Program Management Office and key stakeholders to develop deliverable packages and support customer meetings.
• Support Operations and Supply Chain in procurement and production of POD, POM, and LRIP deliverables.
• Conduct technical planning for follow‑on contract scope to complete system design, qualification, and transition to production.
• Travel up to 25% to other locations across the country and internationally as required.

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a STEM degree.
• Prior technical cross‑functional team or project leadership, balancing program technical, cost, and schedule.
• Experience in radar digital exciter systems development and test.
• Experience with risk and opportunity identification, management, and mitigation/capture plan development and execution.
• Active, transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

• Experience interacting with senior external technical customers and representatives.
• Experience developing, producing, and maintaining CUAS interceptors.
• Experience balancing program technical, cost, and schedule priorities on programmatically impactful tasks/issues and pursuits.
• Familiarity with the Raytheon Coyote products.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
