Smyth Industries Engineering Division is currently searching for an individual with Water Infrastructure Industry experience as a Senior Project Manager to help enhance our current team. We provide full-service electrical, civil, manufacturing, engineering and general contracting services for the water and reclamation industry.

The ideal candidate will foster teamwork and create a positive work environment in a fast-paced industry, while helping our Arizona clients engineer, rehabilitate, manufacture and construct water distribution and treatment infrastructure.

We’ve grown from our steel tank fabrication and specialty manufacturing origins, into a full-service water and reclamation industry General Contractor specializing in end-to-end solutions including Storage Tanks, Pump and Water Wells, Pressure and Surge Vessels, Industrial Coatings, Electrical and Controls, and Engineering.

The Senior Project Manager manages engineering, manufacturing, and/or construction projects for the water and reclamation industry. This position assists our clients to develop important projects which will rehabilitate, manufacture and construct water/reclamation distribution, storage, and treatment infrastructure. Supports and adheres to the Smyth Industries Policies and Procedures, Safety Compliance, and Values.

• Provides project management on a variety of construction projects simultaneously, from conception through completion, which involves developing project schedules, monitoring project progress and budget, preparing, and maintaining project files, monitoring quality of projects, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Projects include water infrastructure to private and public water utilities and mining clients including water master plans, wells, pipelines, storage tanks, pressure vessels, and water pump stations.
• Provides effective and timely project communication, both orally and in writing, and ability to represent the company in meetings and presentations to municipal and private industry clients, other governmental agencies, utilities, the mining industry, and the public.
• Exhibits the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
• Leads the project team to execute projects on time and on budget.
• Oversees the technical work products of staff and field engineers and others performing technical tasks to support water/reclamation projects.
• Coordinates with client and project team to develop project proposals/work plans and budgets, including assigning tasks to internal team, tracking required responses, and performing follow-up.
• Coordinates with customer, client, and project team to develop comprehensive plan for construction project start‑up and successful kick‑off.
• Coordinates in a timely manner with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to deliver projects, utilizing internal project tools and processes for tracking and follow‑up activities.
• Coordinates efforts with project owner and other parts of the organization as required to meet project schedule.
• Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, reviewing construction and fabrication projects for quality and conformance to plans and specifications, and…
