We’re looking for a Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and collaborating in a dynamic team. In this onsite role in Tucson, AZ, you will develop advanced, physics‑based modeling solutions in the DoD Space, deploy RF technologies, and collaborate across teams.
What You will Do- You will champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques
- You will develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion
- You will deploy Radio Frequency (RF) phenomenology and advanced physics concepts in software implementation
- You will enable our customer’s success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions
- You will work efficiently inside an established software product, across programming languages, and technical environments
- You will research and develop novel RF modeling solutions
- You will coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems
- You will mentor and share RF expertise with your team
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant prior experience
- Experience applying object‑oriented software design and programming in C or C++
- Experience using Python or MATLAB for evaluation of data sets
- Experience with UNIX / Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line
- Experience in radar processing, Imaging RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing, and/or discrimination algorithms
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government‑issued Security Clearance prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start
- Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU‑accelerated languages/architectures and Scene Generation/Sensor Modeling technologies
- Experience with electronic warfare modeling, developing signal processing algorithms for missile applications, signal & image processing, digital communications, or estimation theory, or AI/ML and training techniques
- Experience with real‑time programming, software change management tools and processes, using and augmenting build systems (Make / CMake), and working with large production software environments
- Experience interfacing with adjacent engineering disciplines (Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field

- Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD, representative of all experience levels
