What You Will Do- Lead, coach and mentor stakeholders in routine settings and difficult situations.
- Manage QA team in performing to expectation and mentoring employees in talent enhancement and new systems and processes.
- Guide/Support RTX Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) projects.
- Establish baseline factory metrics (e.g., scrap, rework, FPY), identify key drivers, forecast future demand, and highlight improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Manufacturing teams to align on top priorities using baseline data and forecasts to drive containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Conduct process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to reduce process variation and improve performance.
- Identify supplier escapes or issues and ensure proper containment and feedback to the Supplier Quality Management team.
- Verify and validate implemented improvements to assess effectiveness.
- Requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and eight (8) years prior relevant engineering experience or seven (5) years with an advanced degree.
- Previous experience in manufacturing in one of the following processes (assembly, inspection, test).
- Experience applying and adhering to Commercial and Aerospace / Defense regulations and/or standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, AS9145).
- Experience in audits, interacting with customers, and Quality Management Systems.
- Experience working in cross-functional process improvement teams.
- Experience in team or project management / leadership roles.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Proven success managing professionals with engineering backgrounds, building and leading high-performing teams to achieve business goals.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9201, Six Sigma, CORE or Lean tools, and related certifications.
- Knowledge of key process characteristics and ability to implement effective process control techniques.
- Experience interpreting drawings, work instructions, BOMs, consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control.
- Ability to identify issues quickly, perform DOE analyses, FMEA, and involve Process and Product Engineers to resolve.
- Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills with stakeholders, team members, suppliers, and management.
- Experience communicating complex engineering issues at all organizational levels in a professional and conclusive manner.
- Experience leading Systemic Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action activities.
- Experience with SAP/PRISM or other ERP tools.
- Previous experience with circuit card assembly processes.
- Relocation assistance may be provided to eligible new hires.

- Salary range: 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. Salary is a good faith estimate and may vary based on role, location, experience, and other factors.
