Industrial Engineer - Onsite; AZ

Location and Security

United States – Tucson, AZ. Requires U.S. citizenship and a valid DoD Secret clearance.

• Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, material movement, information exchange, and key performance indicators.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on‑time delivery goals.
• Influence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and planning the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment that create a competitive advantage.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to execute projects addressing obsolescence, improving factory performance, and promoting growth.
• Support new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work‑cell ergonomics.

• Industrial Engineering tools and methods used to build factory models for continuous improvement and future‑state forecasting.
• Aspects of the defense industry and how to meet challenging mission requirements while also meeting cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• The CORE Operating System and the CORE Common Methods used to align priorities and meet key business objectives.
• Executive Presence and data‑driven decision support.
• Project planning and project management techniques to deliver results and meet critical milestones.
• Influencing and leading cross‑functional teams and frontline operators.
• Strategic planning and business proposal development to generate returns on invested capital.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience applying industrial engineering tools and methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, capacity modeling, facility design, or process optimization.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance and a U.S. security clearance.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience/education with factory layout and work‑cell design/optimization.
• Experience/education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods.
• Experience/education with project management.
• Experience/education with CAD software.
• Six Sigma certifications.
• Ability to lead teams and influence without authority.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience evaluating factory layout and work‑cell design.
• Experience with simulation modeling and capacity analysis.
• Experience in project management and CAD use.
• Leadership and influencing skills.

Salary range: $57,200 – $108,800. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, and holiday benefits. Additional incentive programs may be available.
