Effector RF Design Antenna & Radome Engineer – Tucson, AZ

Raytheon’s Effector RF Design Antenna & Radome team seeks an experienced Engineer to lead the development, design, and validation of antenna and radome technology. The role is onsite in Tucson, AZ.

• Lead development and detailed design of antenna or radome hardware and requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams (thermal, structural, mechanical, systems).
• Coordinate with antenna or radome manufacturing suppliers.
• Analyze simulation and test data to verify performance against requirements.
• Provide technical oversight, delegate tasks, and coach team members.
• Work with government personnel and programs to refine requirements and validate hardware compliance.
• Obtain an interim U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start; eligible for special program access thereafter.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field OR minimum 8 years of experience with an advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience leading antenna or radome designs from concept through qualification.
• Proficiency with antenna or radome simulation and modeling tools (HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, PMM, GRASP).
• Experience with near‑ or far‑field measurement systems for antenna, radome, or sensor.
• Ability to obtain an interim U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start; eligibility to obtain special program access thereafter.

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience presenting technical data to stakeholders and customers.
• Experience designing conformal antenna systems and complex multi‑layer radomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of management processes (IPDS, EVMS) and experience presenting to FRB, ERB, CCB, MRB.
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, or other scientific programming languages and HPC environments such as SLURM.

• Competitive salary range: $132,400 – $251,600.
