Hatch is seeking a Site Project Controls Manager to join the team in Valley County, Project Controls Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls, including Estimating, Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, EPCM Control, Project Accounting, Trend and Change Management, Progress Measurement and Evaluation, and Project Reporting. The Project Controls Manager ensures Hatch procedures and best practices are applied to the project and recommends changes where required.
Managing the Project Control resources allocated to the project by leading and directing subordinates so that they are motivated and have access to the required resources to meet the work objectives. The Project Controls Manager mentors the team to ensure they understand expectations and have the necessary skills, identifying training and development needs for staff.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a project environment with detailed knowledge of Estimating, Cost Control, Planning, and Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in high‑valued, multi‑discipline EPCM environment projects from inception to close out.
- Knowledge in the following disciplines:
- Estimating – Understanding of the fundamentals of estimating and the ability to review total Project and Change Notice estimates to ensure accuracy.
- Cost Control – Ability to understand composite Project budgets, forecast final costs, manage project trends and changes, and monitor cash flow.
- Planning & Scheduling – Ability to read and understand Project Schedules, verify impact of Project Changes.
- Quantity Surveying – Knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles and Standard Systems of Measurement, ability to verify progress payments, final invoices, escalation, and Forex calculations.
Preferred:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Management or professional certification.
- Experience establishing reporting standards, formats and frequency.
- Experience in consolidated preparation and presentation of project financial reports.
- Knowledge of EPCM principles and the ability to interpret and verify Incentive agreements.
- General Construction knowledge and understanding of engineering models and construction drawings.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
- Interpersonal skills, especially dealing with people, staff, and stakeholders at different seniority levels.
- Broad business acumen, including risk assessment and management.
- Collaborate on projects to develop innovative solutions.
