Sr. Systems Engineer – Performance and Validation Deputy (Onsite)
Location:
Tucson, AZ, United States.
Security Clearance: U.S. citizen required with an active Secret clearance on day 1.
The Sr. Systems Engineer - Performance and Validation Deputy serves as the subject matter expert for performance and validation activities related to tactical missile simulations. The role involves developing credible 6‑DOF and RF scene models, ensuring alignment with government standards, and coordinating validation and accreditation activities with program stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the creation and refinement of advanced 6‑DOF simulation environments for missile effectors.
- Collaborate with customers to establish credible system performance presentations and validation referents.
- Coordinate with the Test Architect to identify and document validation referents for simulation accreditation.
- Track, report, and manage findings from weekly performance data sets.
- Conduct trade‐study analysis and implement findings to enhance simulation accuracy and reliability.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on modeling, simulation, and analysis for complex 6‑DOF scenarios.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience on missile programs.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and validating simulations to government standards.
- Proficiency with object‑oriented languages (C, C++, Python) in a Linux environment.
- Experience with 6‑DOF simulation design and analysis.
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments and high‑performance computing (HPC) resources.
- Current active U.S. Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain program access.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.
- Experience using MATLAB and/or Python for data evaluation and analysis.
- Knowledge of HPC management tools such as SLURM.
