Location:

Tucson, AZ. Position:
Onsite. Requires U.S. citizenship and an existing Top Secret clearance, with clearance active on dayone.

Responsibilities
  • Develop material and processes for low-observable (LO) weapon systems.
  • Perform material and system performance predictions and conduct measurement tests of developmental and production systems.
  • Measure constitutive and RF attenuation properties and generate predicted material performance using Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM) tools.
  • Integrate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products and assess system performance.
  • Formulate and develop materials; oversee fabrication processes and composites operations.
  • Conduct material testing and characterization (RF, mechanical, physical) and prepare engineering documentation.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers and lead program reviews.
  • Manage projects and mentor early‑career engineers.
  • Own tasks strongly; act as Materials Lead on Integrated Product Teams.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a STEM field and at least 5years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 3years of experience.
  • Experience in low-observable or radar materials.
  • Experience in material characterization, performance testing/prediction, design, or material down‑select and integration onto air vehicles.
  • Experience working with customers and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in STEM.
  • High‑temperature LO material characterization, testing, and integration experience.
  • Experience with intrinsic property analytical techniques for electromagnetic characterization.
  • Proficiency with thermal analysis techniques (DMA, TMA, TGA, DSC).
  • Excellent communicator fostering collaboration with multi‑disciplined teams, suppliers and customers.
  • Strong planning, prioritizing and execution skills for projects and programs.
  • Proposal writing and basis of estimate development experience.
  • CAD, Python, C++, MATLAB or similar programming proficiency.
  • Infrared signature analysis and control experience.
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with capacity to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $86,800–$165,200 (USD). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off and holidays. Eligible for annual short‑term and long‑term incentive compensation programs as applicable.
