Systems Engineer, Test Engineer
What You Will Do
- Perform integration, verification, and qualification testing of Effector systems in flight and ground test environments to ensure the system under test performs according to specifications/requirements.
- Manage day‑to‑day tasking of an engineering team responsible for lab testing, coordinating availability and managing schedule with on‑site test resources.
- Deliver reliability testing artifacts to Reliability team partners and the government customer.
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in simulated and real‑world environments.
- Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
- Troubleshoot and analyze hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging; familiarity with failure reporting, corrective action, and fault tree analysis.
- Collect and analyze data to ensure system performance and prepare detailed reports of the results.
- Create or modify documentation to support reviews such as Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages.
- Interface and coordinate across company functions and with customers, suppliers, and sub‑contractors.
- Support missions by traveling up to 25% to mission locations for one‑ or two‑week durations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with systems hardware, systems software, systems integration, and/or systems test.
- Experience leading or supporting tests in a lab environment or at test ranges; preference for hardware systems integration on military platforms.
- Experience leading teams in integration and test activities, creating integration and verification strategies, and integrating with test equipment, telemetry data analysis tools, and other lab equipment.
- Experience collecting and evaluating data to diagnose and solve technical issues on military platforms (aircraft, ship‑based, or ground‑based).
- Experience presenting technical data to stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
- Experience with capture/pursuit proposals, including authoring white papers, RFI responses, and proposals of technical volumes.
Salary range: $86,800 USD – $165,200 USD.
