Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – TUCSON

Position Overview

Will be responsible for designing, specifying, and implementing control systems and instrumentation to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations from concept through commissioning.

• Assist and work under the direction of senior engineers to prepare instrument lists, specifications, data sheets, calculations, and control system drawings.
• Properly select and specify types of equipment and instruments associated with the process and control system.
• Develop I&C design knowledge and aptitude with the ability to complete designs of Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

• A minimum of 1-year related experience is required.
• BS electrical engineering, or related field with an EIT.
• Must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
• A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.

• Experience with I&C design knowledge and aptitude with the ability to complete designs of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Programming of PLC/DCS required (Wonderware, Delta V, Control Logics).
• Proficiency in communication networks design, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Previous Mining Experience
• PE
• Bilingual English / Spanish abilities
• Experience working on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
