Regional Specification Sales Engineer, Pipe & Fittings; CA, NV, AZ & NM

Sales (Specification) Engineer - South-West Region (California, Nevada, Arizona, & New Mexico)

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Engineer who wishes to work with our sales team as a sales engineer with a focus on sales support through product specifications. This position will interface with sales, product development, quality control, manufacturing and technical services to ensure Westlake Pipe & Fittings products are properly positioned in the market.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the South-West Regional sales team, promoting Westlake Pipe & Fitting's products by ensuring our products are eligible for tender via qualifying our products for use on upcoming large projects and general usage within the South-West Region
• Working closely with contractors, consulting engineers, municipal engineering departments and regional governments throughout the South-West Region to ensure correct design, specification and application of our complete product line within the municipal sector
• Attending and presenting at technical conferences and participating in industry technical committees
• Providing the sales team with technical sales support throughout the South-West Region
• Regular traveling throughout assigned territory with particular emphasis on fast growing areas of the Region while liaising with municipal engineering departments and consulting engineers
• Delivering technical presentations to municipalities and consulting engineers

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a Civil Engineering program with a Professional Engineer license
• 5-10 years of relevant industry-specific sales or engineering experience
• Business school (MBA) preferred
• Keen interest in becoming a key player in a successful, historically fast-growing sales region

Location and travel requirements:

• Flexible within the region; travel expected up to 75% of the time (once every 2 weeks minimum, up to 3 weeks per month)
• Currently residing in NV, AZ or NM near a major airport preferred
