CAD Design Engineer

The Mechanical Products Team is seeking a CAD Design Engineer in the Shipboard Effectors Department. This position is located on-site in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:

• Plan, lay-out, draw, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, references, and data.
• Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices using computer aided design systems.
• Determine scaling, inserts necessary reference datums, center and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
• Prepare complete production detail drawings. Develop design drawings according to engineering sketches and proposal specifications.
• Solve routine problems of varying scope and complexity following established policies and procedures with minimal direction or supervision.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with CREO Parametric (Pro/Engineer) solid modeling CAD tool and considerable knowledge of Windchill data management (PDM) tool.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.   Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

  -based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
