Job DescriptionThis position requires onsite work in Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.
Solidus is seeking a seasoned Senior FPGA Design and Verification Engineer to develop and verify high-performance hardware designs. In this role, you will manage the full development lifecycle from requirements definition through integration and testing. You will work across all major vendor platforms using VHDL to implement critical systems for high-speed communications, digital signal processing, and embedded interfaces.
Day in the Life- Define requirements, architect new components, write VHDL code, simulate designs, and execute place-and-route
- Support design validation from initial concept through final physical hardware integration and test
- Partner with systems engineers and circuit card designers to model algorithms and align system requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- Active Secret clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Expert-level knowledge of VHDL for hardware description
- Proven experience with Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi device families and tool chains
- Demonstrated success developing for at least three of the following areas:
- Gigabit serial interfaces
- Radio Frequency (RF) and Electro-Optical (EO) DS Control systems and data links
- Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment
