Experienced Air Quality Consultant

Overview

Bison Engineering, Inc., is a Montana-based, employee-owned environmental engineering firm with 46 years of experience in helping our clients comply with air quality and environmental regulations. We specialize in air quality permitting, emissions testing, ambient air monitoring, and gas flow monitor design and manufacture. We are recruiting for an experienced project engineer/scientist for our Consulting Services Department.

Applicants will have a four‑year engineering or other technical degree and a minimum of five years of environmental consulting experience in industrial, regulatory, and/or consulting settings. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or other professional certifications are highly desired. Experience in environmental consulting is required, specifically in emissions inventories, Title V permitting, minor source permit applications, toxic release inventories, greenhouse gas reporting, air dispersion modeling (AERMOD – BEEST software required), EPCRA Tier II reporting, Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).

Applicants should have experience in stationary source air quality regulations and be proficient with the Clean Air Act, NSPS, and NESHAPs regulations. Water quality experience will also be considered.

Technical requirements for the position include the ability to interpret environmental regulations, to use compliance management tools, and to manage projects and client relationships. Applicants should possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and mentor engineers/scientists on their team.

$45.00 - $68.00 per hour dependent on experience and location

• Ideally the candidate would be located in or willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ, Helena, MT or Billings, MT office locations
