Manufacturing Engineer

This position requires onsite work in Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on analyzing product specifications, designing manufacturing workflows, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, high-quality production.

• Responsible for developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes by studying products and production methods
• Lead the design, control, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in collaboration with cross functional teams
• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool/fixture designs
• Translate engineering design requirements into efficient, scalable manufacturing processes
• Provide daily troubleshooting support for manufacturing areas and integrate engineering changes into MDPs
• Lead nonconforming material analysis, including root cause and corrective action investigations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, automate processes, improve ergonomics, and reduce costs using Six Sigma and data driven decision making
• Support manufacturers and fabricators both internal teams and supply base partners with real-time technical assistance
• Develop and implement process control and performance monitoring systems
• Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence of issues
• Collaborate effectively with internal customers to ensure production success
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Active Secret Clearance required
• Experience developing and optimizing manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and data driven improvement tools
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, production, and supply chain teams
