Position Overview

Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team seeks an Advanced Guidance Section Subsystem Tech Lead to manage a cross‑discipline team of engineers through the product development lifecycle of missile guidance and flight avionics systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team through design, analysis, architecture, development and testing phases of electronic subsystems.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to meet project objectives.
  • Manage suppliers and drive them to meet commitments.
  • Develop subsystem requirements, test plans and documentation.
  • Conduct peer reviews as a subject matter expert and subsystem owner.
  • Present progress and technical findings to peers, management and government customers.
  • Investigate root‑cause failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support multiple programs and collaborate across functional and program‑level managers.
  • Travel as required, including foreign travel.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in flight avionics with electrical hardware development, subsystems, systems engineering, and requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in flight avionics with hardware development, systems integration, requirements creation or validation.
  • Advanced degree substitute:
    Master’s equals 2 years of experience;
    Ph.D. equals 4 years.
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting RF/Radar, analog and digital circuit cards, and configurable logic.
  • Experience in team leadership, systems engineering, and architecture.
  • Knowledge of Earn‑Value Management System (EVMS) and Cost Account Management (CAM).
  • Knowledge of mixed‑signal electronics and DOD hardware development processes (design gates).
  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience in proposal development and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Preferred

  • Experience working on missile or comparable systems.
  • Desire to grow into higher‑level leadership roles.
