Position: Electrical Engineer II - Production Hardware (3rd Shift)

Electrical Engineer II – Production Hardware

Location:

Tucson, AZ

Shift: 3rd shift (11pm – 8am). Travel: less than 10% annually.

Responsibilities
  • Enhance electrical engineering skills by working with digital, analog, and/or RF hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro‑mechanical systems. Hands‑on troubleshooting experience is preferred.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
What You Will Learn
  • Knowledge of electrical components, circuit card assemblies, RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed‑signal circuit design or analysis.
  • Achieve RTX Core Certification and complete Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Training.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed‑signal circuit design or analysis and/or digital signal processing.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Root‑cause corrective action investigations.
  • Electrical engineering design experience of CCA, EO, RF, seeker/sensor, or electronic subsystem, including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and supplier support, test automation scripting, sensor control, PCB fabrication, and circuit card assembly processes.
  • Experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, IMUs, and GPS receiver subsystems.
  • Subsystem integration and test, post‑flight analysis, problem investigation, SPC methods for yield improvement, technical writing, formal presentation, and engineering change notices.
  • Self‑starter capable of independent work and small team technical oversight, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, technical reports, and proposal support.
Salary Range

USD 68,900 – 131,100
