Senior Electrical Estimator / Project Manager
Estimating & Preconstruction
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and labor estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop conceptual, budgetary, negotiated, and competitive bid estimates.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and project risks.
- Participate in preconstruction and design-assist meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders.
Project Management
- Manage projects from award through closeout.
- Develop project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Coordinate procurement and material purchasing.
- Monitor project schedules, productivity, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Attend project coordination meetings.
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Administration
- Prepare and manage project submittals.
- Generate and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Price, negotiate, and manage change orders.
- Review contract requirements and ensure compliance.
- Support project billing, documentation, and closeout activities.
- Maintain complete project records and correspondence.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical construction estimating.
- Experience managing commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and contract documents.
- Experience managing submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for document review, quantity takeoffs, and collaboration.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and coordination processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with healthcare, industrial, educational, government, or design-build projects is preferred.
