ResponsibilitiesThe System Engineer will perform a variety of roles in the engineering design and production teams. This role may include membership or leadership in a team executing a development contract, participation in internal R&D projects, or support of production or product sustainment activities. It may have a large degree of independence and responsibility for delivering results with little or no oversight, and it is likely to be involved with multiple activities simultaneously, such as design, test, production, proposal support, and customer interaction and support.
RequiredBackground
- BS or higher in engineering, physics, computer science, or mathematics.
- At least 7 years’ experience (or 5 years with M.S.) as an engineer or developer in at least one of the following fields: electronic hardware design, DSP design, FPGA implementation, RF system design and performance specifications, high‑speed networks, software development.
- Experience developing and analyzing requirements.
- Experience reading and creating system and interconnect drawings for electronic, software, or mechanical systems.
- Ability to write test plans and procedures.
- Ability to write training material.
- Comfort with agile development methods in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- M.S. or higher in engineering, physics, computer science, or mathematics (counts for 2 years of experience).
- Experience developing system, software, and/or test architectures.
- Experience with electronic hardware production.
- Experience writing or contributing to proposals.
This position is located at our Tucson, AZ Headquarters.
Salary RangeThe likely salary range for this position is $116,000 to $142,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation; salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside this range.
