As a Mechanical Engineer in our Product Engineering group, you will work with pumps, cyclones/manifold systems, and valve order handling using parametric design concepts.
Responsibilities- Work with Project Managers worldwide to understand design requirements and ensure the design meets those requirements (drawing content, drawing time, safety).
- Research and analyse data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Design products or systems, including instruments and controls, to enhance product performance.
- Create and maintain design tools and guidelines to ensure efficient processes and adherence to the design manual.
- Plan and direct drafting personnel in generating detailed fabrication drawings for individual products and systems.
- Develop methods and procedures for inspection, installation, and assembly.
- Manage multiple drawing projects and provide weekly progress updates to Project Managers.
- Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
- Handle design questions during manufacture and ensure drawings are updated as required.
- Provide instructions to drafting personnel to ensure all project and parts issues are assigned and completed promptly.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required by the project.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0 to 10 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Sound knowledge of design and preparation of manufacturing drawings and general‑arrangement drawings.
- Experience with CAD tools such as CATIA, AutoCAD, PLM (Enovia, Smart Team) and ANSYS.
- Good expertise in CATIA is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word.
- Knowledge of inspection, installation, and assembly procedures.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for casting and fabrication equipment.
- Preferred knowledge of international design standards.
- Teamwork, proactive approach, excellent communication skills.
- Proficient oral and written English for collaboration with US engineering team.
- Planning, organizing, conceptual thinking, problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
