This role is a Systems Engineer II within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline. It offers the opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of defense systems, from concept to deployment, collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines and customer stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Update, maintain, and improve system requirements.
- Develop system architecture and models using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
- Conduct trade studies and develop concept of operations.
- Collaborate with engineers from all disciplines.
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and verification documentation.
- Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems and evaluate functionality.
- Evaluate test results for requirements compliance.
- Create and modify documentation for design reviews and test events.
- Participate in platform integration, flight testing, qualification, and design verification.
- Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through data analysis and debugging.
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of test data.
- Support missions by traveling to test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations as needed.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
- Experience with systems requirements, integration, and/or test.
- Experience in the defense industry, especially with military systems and DoD customer infrastructure, is preferred.
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering product life cycle.
- Experience performing performance analysis and presenting technical material.
- Familiarity with DOORS, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
- Experience with model-based engineering and associated tools.
- Experience managing requirements and supporting integration labs or test facilities.
- Experience evaluating systems in simulated environments.
- Ability to generate technical documentation such as trade studies, test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
Salary range
: $68,900 - $131,100 USD (estimate based on experience).
