Key Responsibilities
- Implement product supply strategies aligned with category management supply strategies.
- Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and cost management from concept to PPAP to deliver parts at the right quality, cost, and timelines.
- Drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) through cost modeling, design for manufacturability, and leveraging suppliers’ capabilities.
- Ensure quality assurance of components and finished products.
- Manage quality feedback loops to apply lessons learned on quality defects across the supply base.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—buyer, supplier development engineer, engineering, quality team, and engineering value chain team—using Teamcenter and workflow processes.
- Escalate supplier quality defects to supplier development engineers for immediate containment.
- Manage APQP and cost management activities from concept to PPAP to deliver parts at the right quality, total cost, and meet timelines, collaborating with packaging, transportation, business resources, and supply chain.
- Extensively use Teamcenter and workflow processes to collaborate with engineering, supplier development engineers, and identify supplier sources for buy‑level parts.
- Implement product supply strategies that create a competitive advantage for customers by developing, optimizing, and integrating a world‑class supply network.
- Drive VAVE through cost modeling, design for manufacturability, and leveraging suppliers’ capabilities.
Frequent interaction with Buyer, Supplier Development Engineer, Engineering team, Quality Team, and Engineering Value Chain team.

Education & Experience Required- 2 or more years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred – Mechanical, Industrial, or Supply Chain.
- Internships not accepted.
- Experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer is advantageous.
- Communication skills – written and oral.
- Manufacturing process knowledge.
- APQP process understanding and application.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and computer‑generated reports.
- Experience with 3D modeling or Creo.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter and Six Sigma processes.
- Should‑Cost analysis capability.
- Work with minimal supervision while driving departmental goals and deliverables.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinker who leverages innovative ideas.
- Advanced ability to make and communicate presentations to management.
- Strong time‑management skills.
