OverviewYou will join our Product Engineering group, collaborating with engineers and designers on pumps, cyclones, manifold systems, and valve order handling using parametric design concepts. The role offers exposure to international design standards and the opportunity to work on diverse projects worldwide.
Responsibilities- Work with Project Managers worldwide to understand design requirements and ensure drawings meet those requirements (content, timeline, safety).
- Research and analyze technical data such as customer proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility.
- Design and refine products and systems—particularly instruments and controls—to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Create or maintain efficient design processes, following and evolving the design manual.
- Oversee detailed fabrication drawings and develop methods for inspection, installation, and assembly.
- Manage multiple drawing projects, providing weekly progress updates to Project Managers.
- Evaluate field installations, recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
- Respond to manufacturing design questions and update drawings as needed.
- Provide guidance to drafting personnel to resolve issues promptly.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required by project schedules.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0 to 10 years of experience in design and manufacturing drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA, AutoCAD) and PLM systems (Enovia, Smar Team). Advanced CATIA knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with ANSYS and other design tools.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (casting, fabrication) and inspection, installation, and assembly procedures.
- Familiarity with international design standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, proactive approach, and planning skills.
- Proficiency in English for collaboration with the U.S. engineering team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
