Position Overview
Systems Engineer and Integration Lead – Advanced Technologies Sub Strategic Business Unit, Advanced Air Warfare Systems. This onsite role is based in Tucson, AZ and requires a U.S. citizenship with an active Top Secret security clearance. The position focuses on leading the integration, verification, and testing of advanced systems from planning through flight tests.
What You Will Do- Plan and execute program milestones, coordinating cross‑discipline engineering teams to meet schedules and deliverables.
- Lead the development of requirements, translating top‑level specifications into detailed lower‑level specifications.
- Integrate, verify, and test systems in laboratory and field environments to ensure performance meets specifications.
- Prepare and present to stakeholders and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
- Conduct milestone meetings such as Consent to Build, Test Readiness Review, and Consent to Ship.
- Manage Earned Value Management processes throughout the program lifecycle.
- Work across multiple engineering disciplines including safety, systems security, software quality, and data management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
- At least 8 years of engineering experience in systems integration, verification, and testing.
- Experience in at least one of the following: requirements development, system integration and test planning, hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, leadership of engineering teams.
- Experience leading milestone meetings and presenting to customers.
- Proficiency with Earned Value Management.
- U.S. citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one prior to start).
- Software Systems Engineering experience.
- Systems security and safety expertise.
- Earned Value Management certification.
- Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) / Multi‑Domain Object Substitution Architecture (MOSA).
Competitive salary ranging from $107,500 to $204,500 USD, along with medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and other standard RTX benefits. Eligible employees may also receive annual incentive compensation, depending on level and business unit.
