Ultra Chief Engineer; CE

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a product vision, strategy, and goals to align with multiple programs and customers, facilitating conflict resolution.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the integrated product team (IPT) and other functions to meet or exceed cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts, internal senior program management, and engineering leadership.
• Influence and align internal and external customers on technical capabilities, risks, and common architecture needs.
• Support new business capture and influence technical and product line roadmaps, ensuring they are reflected in program planning and execution.
• Plan and lead the incremental break‑in of upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive positive change in the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities, and other continuous improvement efforts.
• Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables.
• Direct a multi‑disciplined team of engineers in support of product development and production.
• Provide technical advisory disposition for export/import (EX‑IM) compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with system development and design, requirements development, management, verification, system integration and test, and production.
• Experience working on modular systems architectures and product lines.
• Experience as a technical leader who can develop work plans and drive execution.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience managing resources with multi‑million‑dollar annual budgets.
• Experience in strategic development, customer interface, or contract capture in the defense industry.
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• RMD Level 3 Certified Chief Engineer.
• Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in leading and executing design, development, and production of complex system architecture.
• Demonstrated experience across the product lifecycle, including concept development, architecture, design, integration, verification, and production.
• Proven ability to develop effective internal and external customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business.
• Direct experience with Engineering Risks and Opportunities (R&O) Management.
• Master’s degree in engineering, physics, or related discipline.
