Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer

Location: Tucson, Arizona, USA

Security Clearance: Secret. U.S. citizenship required. Obtain clearance prior to start date.

• Perform integration, verification, and testing of Effector systems to ensure system under test meets specifications and/or requirements.
• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in simulated and real-world environments and then perform or execute the test.
• Support the unique buildup of test assets by understanding requirements, completing the build, documenting the build, and certifying the unit is ready for the next stage.
• Plan and execute tests at different levels of hardware builds (from Circuit Card Assemblies to final product) including EMI, live battery, RF, electrical operational, weight, center of gravity, thermal, and vibration tests.
• Plan and execute platform integration of Effector Systems with customer subsystems and/or launch platforms in lab or field across aircraft, ships, and ground-based launchers.
• Plan and execute flight test missions requiring robust test planning, logistics, safety, security, preparing the test asset, telemetry monitoring while working with the customer, military, and test range.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis, debugging, failure reporting, corrective action, and fault tree analysis.
• Collect and analyze data to ensure system performance and provide detailed reports of the results.
• Create or modify documentation for formal reviews such as Test Readiness Review, Consent to Ship, and Test Data Review packages.
• Interface and coordinate across company functions and with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Lead a small team in integration and test activities.
• Travel occasionally to vendor or customer sites up to 25% of the year.

You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience in systems integration and test in lab or field environments. Experience planning or executing platform integration or flight test missions. Experience collecting and evaluating data to diagnose and solve technical issues.

We Prefer: Leadership experience leading teams in integration and test activities. Experience working on military platforms such as aircraft, ship-based platforms, and ground-based platforms. Technical documentation experience generating trade studies, test plans, test procedures, or technical reports. Presentation experience managing and presenting technical data to stakeholders and customer communities in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
