Hardware Lab Lead

Position Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Hardware Lab Lead to manage and implement environmental test projects, as well as oversee the day‑to‑day administrative functions of multiple engineering and environmental test labs. This role will focus on ensuring safety, security, and compliance in alignment with established doctrine and governance.

• Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies
• Management, coordination and implementation of Environment Health Safety and Sustainment Property & Metrology Management
• Perform cost analysis, ensure task completion within approved budgets
• Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)
• Oversee audit/assessment preparation and Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program
• Develop corrective action plans and assist in developing long‑range objectives, including engineering customer goals
• Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations
• Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management
• Work to influence stakeholders within and outside the responsible area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures
• Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solving
• Handle physical exertion while standing, sitting, or walking; work outside; local travel in the general area may be required, with occasional travel outside the local area

Time management skills resulting from broad administrative management responsibilities; varied horizontal and vertical communication skills.

• Typically requires a university degree and a minimum of 2 years’ prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree OR, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years experience
• Experience working directly with engineers, technicians and/or leadership in an engineering lab environment
• Mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills
• Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations
• Experience working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management
• Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination
• Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong understanding and experience with metrology and calibration practices and preparing assets for such

• Work schedule:
  
  9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)
• Relocation eligibility: this position is eligible for relocation
• Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD (good faith estimate)
