What You Will Do
  • Core Systems Engineering:
    Update, maintain, and improve requirements; develop system architecture and model using Model Based Systems Engineering; conduct trade studies based on Concept of Operations; collaborate with engineers of all disciplines.
  • Perform Test Planning:
    Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real‑world environments; perform and execute testing.
  • Integrate Systems:
    Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluate their functionality and impact, and assess test results for requirements compliance.
  • Create or modify documentation in support of design reviews and in preparation for test events.
  • Perform platform integration, flight test, qualification, and design verification execution.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze:
    Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
  • Perform data analysis:
    Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
  • Support missions:
    Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer sites.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret) or the ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in the defense industry, specifically with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures, and Department of Defense customer infrastructure experience.
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering product lifecycle.
  • Experience with performance analysis and presenting analytical and technical material.
  • Experience with DOORS, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
  • Experience with model‑based engineering and associated tools.
  • Experience developing and managing requirements.
  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field supporting integration and/or verification.
  • Experience evaluating systems using simulated environments.
  • Experience generating technical documentation such as trade studies, test plans, procedures, or technical reports.

Salary Range

68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.

    Employees working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance employees essential to the development of our products.
