- Core Systems Engineering – Update, maintain, and improve requirements; develop system architecture and model using Model Based Systems Engineering; conduct trade studies based on Concept of Operations; collaborate with engineers of all disciplines.
- Test Planning – Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real‑world environments and perform/execute the testing.
- Systems Integration – Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluate their functionality and impact, and evaluate test results for requirements compliance; create or modify documentation in support of design reviews and in preparation for test events; perform platform integration, flight test, qualification, and design verification execution.
- Troubleshoot and Analyze – Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
- Data Analysis – Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
- Mission Support – Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
- Experience in the Defense Industry, and specifically with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as Department of Defense customer infrastructure experience.
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering product lifecycle.
- Experience with performing performance analysis and presenting analytical and technical material.
- Experience with DOORS, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
- Experience with model‑based engineering and associated tools.
- Experience in developing and managing requirements.
- Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
- Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
- Experience with generating technical documentation, such as trade studies, test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
Salary range: 68,900
USD – 131,100
USD.
