Purpose of RoleThe Process Plant Lead (Mechanical) provides technical leadership and owner oversight for engineering associated with the Copper World Process Plant. The role is responsible for ensuring the design, procurement, construction support, and commissioning activities performed by the EP and CM contractor and equipment vendors meet project objectives for safety, operability, maintainability, reliability, quality, schedule, and cost.
As part of the Owner's Team, the Process Plant Lead serves as the primary engineering authority for the concentrator and associated process facilities while working closely with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Project Controls, Procurement, and Commissioning.
Role Accountabilities Technical Leadership- Provide technical leadership for all mechanical aspects of the process plant.
- Ensure engineering solutions align with project objectives and Owner standards.
- Review and approve mechanical engineering deliverables prior to Owner acceptance.
- Ensure consistency with Project Design Criteria and Engineering Standards.
- Lead engineering decisions supporting project execution.

Construction Support- Resolving field technical issues.

Ensure equipment is maintainable, operable, and capable of meeting production requirements.

- Ensure designs meet applicable safety standards.

- Ensure compliance with Owner and regulatory requirements.
