Senior Principal Engineer - Excalibur Ic Systems IPTL; Onsite

Position Overview

Position Title: Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), Systems Performance – Excalibur Ic Program.
Location: Tucson, AZ (Onsite).
Security Clearance: Secret clearance required (current or eligible for obtaining). U.S. citizenship required.
Salary Range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.

• Lead execution of work scope as defined in the program schedule and prioritize objectives for the team.
• Communicate status, accomplishments, issues, and assistance needs to program and business unit leadership.
• Manage team budget and schedule to meet cost goals and milestones while maintaining technical rigor based on risk posture.
• Collaborate with the Business Manager on Earned Value Management System (EVMS), provide estimated‑at‑complete reporting, and deliver business metrics.
• Provide program leadership to the Integrated Product Team and partnering groups in uncertain situations.
• Direct engineering execution for development of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) and simulation products under demanding schedules.
• Review simulation models, GNC updates, and performance evaluation for technical rigor.
• Interact extensively with Program Managers, Engineering Directorate Leaders, Chief Engineers, and Technical Subject Matter Experts for portfolio alignment.
• Mentor and guide team members.
• Collaborate with other Integrated Product Teams to ensure coordination and procedural compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing a System Performance (GNC/Signal Processing) engineering team.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and execution of technical projects.
• Experience with GNC and signal‑processing algorithm development and the use of missile‑kit software.
• Active Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance at start of employment.
• U.S. citizenship.

• Experience using Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Risk and Opportunity Management tools to identify issues and recommend actions.
• Program Manager certification level 6 (or ability to obtain within the first year).
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a STEM discipline.
• Experience with Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HWIL) and Computer‑in‑the‑Loop (CIL) environments.
• Familiarity with the Excalibur family of programs.
