Location:

Tucson, AZ – 801 ~ 1151 E Hermans Rd – BLDG 801 (External Site)

• Directly manage a functional team of test engineers to ensure product test integrity and improve test processes.
• Influence testability in product design and prioritize tasks to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate resources, manage team staffing levels, and interface with strategic manufacturing personnel and leaders.
• Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and employee performance development.
• Maintain the technical quality of engineering tasks, product compliance, and oversight of staff timecards.
• Develop sustaining solutions to routine technical problems, troubleshoot manufacturing and test systems, and lead root‑cause and corrective action activities.
• Participate in or lead functional/factory improvement projects.
• Manage a group of 15 or more people, potentially across multiple factories and geographic locations, influencing stakeholders beyond the function.
• Support manufacturing activities and spend significant time on the factory floor in a demanding dynamic environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced degree with 5+ years related experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (or 5 years with an advanced degree).
• Proven experience leading people/teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Experience with lean principles in a manufacturing and test environment (preferred).
• Preferred majors:
  Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Strong experience supporting, maintaining, and improving test systems.
• Experience with test equipment proofs and automated test equipment systems.
