Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client actively building its North American engineering capability. They are seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to play a key leadership role in shaping project delivery standards and executing technically complex projects.

This is a high-impact position with full lifecycle responsibility on large-scale mining, mineral processing, and heavy industrial developments — from front-end engineering and detailed design through commissioning and site execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Instrumentation & Controls design and delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
  • Own critical deliverables: P&IDs, control philosophies, I/O lists, instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, functional descriptions, alarm registers, and cause & effect matrices.
  • Provide technical direction on PLC, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
  • Oversee FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities, including complex troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with process, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Engage directly with clients on technical decisions and solutions.
  • Significant experience in project delivery environments (EPC, system integrator, or owner-operator).
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in PLC programming and control systems.
  • Demonstrated success leading I&C scope on complex projects.
  • Proven commissioning and troubleshooting experience in operational plants.
  • Experience mentoring and developing less experienced engineers.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (Electrical) license in the state of California — mandatory requirement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry background is highly preferred.

This role offers global project exposure, occasional international site travel, and the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the client’s US growth.
