Senior Transportation Director

As a Senior Transportation Director, you will be responsible for a variety of projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
Manage and lead Horrocks design teams to deliver transportation projects.
Identify, pursue, and win new transportation engineering opportunities within the public and private sectors.
Develop and track scope, budget, and schedules for transportation projects to successfully deliver projects
Solicit and manage subconsultant engineering services
Interface with public and private sector clients including state and municipal agencies
Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders
Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources
Manage Quality Control/Quality Assurance activities per Horrocks' Quality Program
Cultivate client relationships and pursue business development opportunities
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineering license in AZ
15+ years of Project Management & Business Development Experience
Preferred 10+ years of DOT experience
Demonstrated experience delivering transportation projects for DOTs, municipalities, counties, or regional agencies.
Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
Solid written and oral communication skills
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with MS Office application
Experience with project accounting practices and systems
Knowledge and experience with Open Roads Designer, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
Experience in managing technical staff and project teams
Ability to manage several projects concurrently
