- Salary Range: $70,000 – $85,000 / year

Role Summary
The Hardware Technician supports the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and field readiness of advanced geophysical sensing systems. Working closely with Electrical and RF Engineers, this role requires hands-on execution and independent hardware diagnosis with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly & Fabrication: Perform precision soldering (through-hole and SMD), circuit board assembly/rework, cable/harness fabrication, and full system hardware integration.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Independently diagnose and repair hardware failures using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- R&D Support: Assist with prototype development, testing, and maintaining accurate build records and documentation.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong soldering and electronics assembly skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and independently troubleshoot electronic hardware.
- Proficiency with standard electronic test equipment.
- High attention to detail and workmanship.
Preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with RF/communications hardware, PCB rework, or embedded electronics.
- IPC solder certification.
- Background in aerospace, defense, aviation, or scientific instrumentation.
